I designed this lid handle because the WONDERFUL, TRULY WONDERFUL (I mean it) Gamma Seal Lids and Gamma2 Vittles Lids/Pet Food Storage . You can get Gamma Lids just about anywhere. However these Gamma Lids can get too tight to loosen by hand.
Because the lids have ribs, the way the lids work is that it is difficult to grab the lids and turn it.
The Gamma Handle that Makes Gamma Seal Lids Easy to Use
Wouldn’t it be nice if there was a tool or handle for these lids? Until this product there wasn’t.
So I made a handle to make it easier to unstick stuck Gamma Seal or Gamma2 lids! That is the kind of silliness thing I do.
This is a very simple gamma2 lid handle. It fits over the neat ribs in the Gamma Seal bucket Lid and now you can turn the lid far more easily. It also fits the Gamma seal dog food container lids as well.

I make this on a special manufacturing process – otherwise this product wouldn’t exist at all – that allows me to make highly customized small batches. I can do big orders too. As part of my manufacturing process, there may be occasional rough edges – but that won’t affect opening and closing the bucket lids!

These are extremely tough. One of my customers, many years ago, sent my design to his son, who was a mechanical engineer from Texas A&M University. He gave me 2 or 3 pointers on how to construct the design so that any turning stresses are spread out to the entire handle, which I thought was amazing. So I implemented those changes and I’ve not had any returns that were broken due to using lots of strength in turning them. The cat insert, I have had a couple of returns where they broke, but that was for a different reason. The cat insert is meant to “skinny up” the design to fit over the cat-size Gamma vittles and ALL THE TURNING STRESS goes onto the tabs and they should not break at all.
The original size Gamma Seal lids and the dog-sized Gamma2 Vittles are what I originally designed these handles to fit. However, the Gamma2 Vittles that are 35 pounds or lighter in terms of capacity have narrower ribs. So I made that little insert so they fit the smaller Gamma2 Vittles lids better.
Yes you can. I designed it to accommodate a wooden rod normally used for closet rods. I would NOT use leverage to close the lid because you might get it so tight that the only way to open it would be to destroy the lid or bucket. I would recommend using ONLY the Gamma Handle or just twisting on the lid for closing. For opening, you gotta do what you gotta do.
